Jerry Sommer: lead vocals, guitar
Jerry has played guitar and fronted bands since high school. He started off building his own guitars and effects (they sucked!).
Luckily he makes enough
money to buy decent stuff now.
A
recent acquisition of a beat to crap, but incredible sounding Stratocaster has
turned him into a Fender Disciple.
He
had to go out and buy two more, now bringing the total guitar count a few closer
to Al’s! (yeah, a good way to catch up is to buy his guitars!)
Jerry’s
favorite guitar players are: Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Brian May.
His hobbies include: playing guitar, playing guitar and playing more guitar!

Al Jordan: lead guitar
Al started playing guitar at 16 and has played in various bands throughout the
years, including Crystal Axx and Lukyn Skywyrd. He has played at Summerfest,
many festivals and other high profile gigs.
Al is a guitar collector (16 guitars!) and he prefers Gibson Les Paul's and
Flying V’s. He does not leave his other guitars lonely, as he will pull out some
of his Fender Strats, a B.C. Rich, an ESP and an Ovation acoustic depending on
the tune.
Al is a Marshall man, using a DSL 50 watt all tube head projected by a Laney
cabinet loaded with celestion speakers. He also uses a Fender Acoustisonic 30
watt combo for the Ovation tunes.
Al colors his sound with various “stomp boxes” by Morley, Boss and BBE. His
influences include Jimi Hendrix, Michael Schenker, Frank Marino, Randy Rhoads
and Leslie West.
Outside of the band, Al enjoys hunting, pro football, Porsche auto’s and old blues guitar players.

Dan Rosso: bass, vocals
Dan has been playing bass for over 30 years and has performed at
Summerfest, festivals and countless other events. Former bands include: Tom
Janus & The Country Mile and Lukyn Skywyrd.
He plays 5 string Fender
American Deluxe Jazz and Precision basses, powered by a Fender Pro 800 amp and
Fender Pro speaker cabinets.
Dan’s favorite bands are: Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, The Eagles and Led Zeppelin. He
has been influenced by the playing styles of Terry “Geezer ” Butler, Geddy
Lee, Randy Meisner, John Entwistle and John Paul Jones.
Dan enjoys spending time with family, friends and rocking out with the band.
His hobbies include, riding his “Ultra Classic", fishing, bowling and watching or going to, Packer and Brewer games, not to mention harassing other members of Breakaway during gigs. Hey, it wouldn’t be as much fun otherwise!

Bill Belmer: drums, vocals
Bill
or as he prefers, Billy, has been playing the drums since he was 13 years old.
He has an impressive 35 years plus behind the skins. Billy's style of music
varies from Rock to Jazz to Country, but he prefers to ROCK!
Billy currently plays a black Yamaha Stage
Custom kit with Zildjian cymbals. His main influences are Ian Paice, Neil Peart,
Billy Cobham (ask Bill who he is!) and Carl Palmer.
Billy’s favorite groups: Rush (no kidding),
Deep Purple, Ted Nugent and ZZ Top. He likes them all and believe me, he can play
anything from any group!!!
Billy has performed with: Silver
Warrior, Worthington, The Nomads (an Iowa band), Revenge, Second Wind, A
Tortured Soul and now he is the pulse of Breakaway.
Bill is the final piece of the Breakaway puzzle and he keeps us rockin’ with his great drum grooves and upbeat attitude.
